Data analysis and data visualization is a crucial aspect of life science research. Unfortunately many of the existing data tools for life science are not user friendly, which makes research much more difficult. Dayspring has partnered with Verso Biosciences to build MarkerLab, a custom web application for organizing and visualizing research data. With MarkerLab, researchers can now visualize their data without requiring a statistician to be involved – just upload a dataset and access customizable, interactive reports .
Prior to Verso, Dayspring had worked with the other principal partners on other projects, laying the groundwork for this new collaboration. Below you will find an excerpt from our case study. Read more about our long term partnership with Verso Biosciences in our full case study here.
We started with a deep dive into the science–understanding the various types of measurable entities (analytes), taxonomies, biological pathways, and functions that make up meaning in omics. Together, we conceived of the idea of application overlays–groupings of biologically meaningful organizations for analytes–that allowed researchers to both benefit from other experts’ work as well as organize and contribute their own.
