AAPI Equity Alliance
The Stop AAPI Hate initiative was created by Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA), San Francisco State University’s Asian American Studies department, and the AAPI Equity Alliance—each a client of Dayspring. With the dramatic increase in incidents reported through the initiative’s web-based reporting tool came a dramatic increase in visibility to the initiative’s founding organizations.
AAPI Equity Alliance engaged Dayspring for a new brand and website for a more modern and impactful presence.
Brand and web design
The Partnership
Dayspring’s previous work of enhancing the Stop AAPI Hate website infrastructure and tech support on the CAA corporate website provided a peek into what working with Dayspring could be like. Already undergoing a renaming and communications strategy with Nakatomi and Associates, it was perfect timing for Dayspring to develop a new online and brand presence for AAPI Equity Alliance (Formerly A3PCON – Asian Pacific Policy and Planning Council).
The Challenge
The social upheaval around AAPI discrimination during COVID-19 and the increased visibility due to Stop AAPI Hate, motivated the AAPI Equity Alliance team to “keep up” with contemporary events. They needed its members and visitors to know that AAPI Equity Alliance was on top of things and continues to be a leader in mobilizing their community and activating their counterparts.
Dayspring reorganized, revitalized and rebuilt the new AAPI Equity Alliance website from the ground up on the newest version of WordPress and on the highly flexible and capable Elementor Theme Builder for powerful control over their content. Dayspring was also able to regain access to previous web analytics, previously thought to be gone forever.
As for the new brand, Dayspring created a brand new logo with a new, vibrant color scheme that more accurately communicates the organization’s energy and clarity.
