A growing number of students to track. Notes from conversations stored in multiple places. Where to put it all? In Salesforce, implemented and customized by Dayspring’s team.
Client
De Marillac Academy, a Catholic school serving underprivileged kids in San Francisco.
Situation
The Graduate Support Team at De Marillac Academy wanted a better way to support their graduating students to help them succeed in high school and college. Contact records. Interactions. Outcomes. All of this and more was living in multiple Excel spreadsheets.
Execution
De Marillac Academy partners with low-income families to break the cycle of poverty through education. Their academy focuses on a holistic educational experience for fourth through eighth graders and a graduate support program that walks with students from high school all the way to starting a career after college.
As De Marillac’s number of graduates grow, so does the number of student relationships they need to track. A customized Salesforce instance was the perfect solution to meet their needs.
Dayspring’s Salesforce experts set up De Marillac’s initial configuration using the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack. From there, our team created a number of custom objects for all the information De Marillac wanted to track, including where their graduates were enrolled, who funded them, where they are volunteering, their current grade point average, and more.
To complete their setup, we compiled all of their spreadsheet data and migrated it into Salesforce. Once everything was up and running, we trained their staff on how use Salesforce to be more productive in their daily work.
The end result was a more relational database, that empowers the De Marillac’s Graduate Support Team to partner with students and their families for the long-term, and help them reach their full potential in life.
